01 — Who We Are
SimStim.ai ("SimStim," "we," "us," or "our") is an ambient display platform that connects Claude AI to WiFi-enabled screens. SimStim is operated by SimStim, Inc, located at PO Box 282, Manchester, VT 05254.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the SimStim connector (an MCP integration available through the Anthropic Claude connector marketplace) and the SimStim website at simstim.ai.
Plain language summary: SimStim lets Claude push content to screens you control. We collect only what's necessary to make that work — screen names, display URLs, and push history. We don't read your conversations with Claude.
02 — Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: Name and email address when you create a SimStim account.
- Screen configuration: The names you assign to your screens (e.g., "Kitchen," "Office") and the associated display URLs generated by SimStim.
- Push history: A log of content sent to your screens, including timestamps and the source skill or instruction that triggered the push. Retained to enable scheduling, debugging, and history review.
- Device metadata: General device type (tablet, TV, Fire Stick) you optionally associate with a screen. We do not access or control those devices directly.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data: Page views, feature interactions, and connector activity logs for performance monitoring and improvement.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs collected via standard server logs. Used for security and aggregate analytics only.
- Cookies: Session cookies for authentication. No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking.
What we do not collect:
- The content of your conversations with Claude.
- Data from Claude's memory or chat history beyond the specific content pushed to your screens.
- Payment information (handled by our payment processor, not stored by SimStim).
- Any data beyond what is necessary to operate the display functionality.
03 — How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and deliver the SimStim connector service — routing content from Claude to your registered screens.
- Authenticate your account and secure access to your screens.
- Maintain push history and scheduling for your configured displays.
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.
- Monitor service performance, uptime, and security.
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, major service changes). We do not send marketing email without explicit opt-in.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not use your data to train AI models without your explicit consent.
04 — Claude & Anthropic Integration
SimStim is a connector that integrates with Claude, an AI assistant developed by Anthropic, PBC. When you use SimStim through the Claude connector marketplace, your use of Claude is also subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy and Anthropic's Usage Policy.
How data flows between SimStim and Claude:
- When you instruct Claude to push content to a screen, Claude passes the relevant content and screen identifier to the SimStim MCP server via the connector protocol.
- SimStim receives the screen name and content payload. It does not receive your full conversation history or any context beyond what Claude explicitly passes for the push action.
- Anthropic does not forward your user ID, IP address, or personal metadata to SimStim. SimStim identifies users via its own account system.
Telemetry: Anthropic may collect telemetry data about connector tool calls (parameters sent and responses received) as described in Anthropic's privacy policy. This data may be used to improve Claude's services, subject to Anthropic's data practices and your Anthropic account settings.
SimStim operates as an independent service. We are not an affiliate or subsidiary of Anthropic. Questions about Anthropic's data practices should be directed to [email protected].
05 — Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Anthropic: Content payloads and screen identifiers are transmitted to SimStim via Anthropic's MCP connector protocol when you instruct Claude to push content.
- Infrastructure providers: We use cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare) to operate the SimStim service. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements.
- Payment processors: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by a PCI-compliant third-party processor. SimStim does not store card numbers or payment credentials.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the safety or rights of SimStim, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred. We will notify affected users and provide options where required by law.
06 — Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
- Push history: Retained for 90 days by default. You can clear your push history at any time from your account settings.
- Screen configuration: Retained until you delete a screen or close your account.
- Account data: Retained until you request deletion. Upon account closure, personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes, then deleted.

07 — Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA / LGPD)
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Opt-out of sale: We do not sell personal data. If this ever changes, California residents will have the right to opt out under CCPA.

Note: Anthropic handles data subject requests relating to Claude independently. SimStim is responsible only for data we collect and control directly.
08 — Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit.
- Encrypted storage for sensitive account data at rest.
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only.
- Regular security monitoring and vulnerability assessment.
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability in SimStim, please report it responsibly to [email protected]. We will investigate all reports with reasonable care and respond promptly.
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
09 — Children's Privacy
SimStim is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
10 — Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email (if you have an account) and by posting a notice on this page with the updated effective date. Continued use of SimStim after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
In line with our commitment to transparency, we will maintain a changelog of material updates to this policy.
